For my staff development project I choose to do a presentation at our staff meeting.I was allowed time to present information on creating and using the photo story software with the digital camera and the voice thread web 2.0 tool for instruction.

As educators we are often looking for ways to increase test scores, classroom productivity, engage our students, and employ the available technologies in making the teaching and learning process more efficient and productive. As a media aid one of our responsibilities is to inform, educate, and expose not only the students but the instructors as well. They need to know the tools to utilize with our 21st Century learners. I felt very strongly that we as instructors need to increase our skill set in that regard. I thought it would be great to offer a professional development to introduce the Walker Mill Staff to voice thread and the use of photo story. Several teachers had questions after the presentation and some wondered if I had handouts with step by step instructions.
